Insights
An Insight is one short statement with a number and one action to take or avoid. Example: "Pausing SWP cuts Runway to 4 months. Keep SWP."
Kosh computes each Insight with fixed rules. The same data and the same What-if always give the same text. Kosh uses no AI model for Insights. The number and the action come from the plan itself: its Plan Items, Hard rules, and Holdings. An Insight never names a fund or a product.
Runway
Runway is the number of months the Household can pay all Plan Items. Kosh divides the liquid Holdings by the monthly net outflow of the active Plan Items. Protected Holdings never count. If the net outflow is zero or below zero, Kosh shows "no limit".
What-if
A What-if is a proposed change to a Plan Item: pause it, stop it, or change its amount. Kosh evaluates the change before the Member applies it. Nothing changes until the Member applies it. If the Member dismisses the What-if, nothing changes.
Kosh shows one Insight for each What-if. If the change would break a Hard rule, the Insight names the rule, and the action is to not apply the change.
Projection
A Projection is the expected value of a Holding on a future date. Kosh starts from the latest Snapshot and an annual return rate that a Member can edit. It compounds once a year. For example, a Holding of ₹1,00,000 at 10% a year is worth ₹1,10,000 after exactly 1 year. The rate is an input that a Member types. Kosh does not predict returns.
The total payout of an SWP is the amount multiplied by the months left. A ULIP shows its Projection at the maturity date.
