Koshdocs

Getting started

Introduction

Kosh tracks the money plan of one family. Most plans fail on dates, not on maths. An SWP lands after the EMI. A PPF deposit is late. A premium lapses. Kosh puts each money action on its correct date and tells the Household.

What Kosh does

  1. Reminds on the correct date. A Plan Item makes dated Occurrences. Each Member with notifications on gets a notification for each Occurrence.
  2. Shows progress. A Member marks an Occurrence done. Kosh shows how many Occurrences are done this month.
  3. Shows one Family view. The Family view adds up the Holdings and Plan Items of all Members.
  4. Warns when a Hard rule breaks. For example, when the LTCG for the FY goes over its limit.
  5. Computes Insights. For example, the Runway in months if a Plan Item stops.

What Kosh does not do

  • Kosh gives no investment advice. It names no fund and no product to start or stop.
  • Kosh does not promise returns. A Projection uses the return rate that a Member types.
  • Kosh does not move money. It has no link to a bank or a broker.
  • Kosh does not decide for the Household. The app computes and warns. The Members decide and type each action.

Note

The amounts and dates in these docs are examples. They do not describe a real Household.

Next steps
