Sign in and set up

Kosh has no passwords. A person signs in with a one-time code that Kosh sends to their email address.

Sign in with a code

1. Open Kosh.
2. Type your email address and ask for a code.
3. Type the code from the email.

A code works once and it expires. If a code is wrong or expired, Kosh rejects it and offers a new code.

Create the Household

A person with no Household sees "Create Household" after sign-in. The first person to create a Household becomes its Owner. Set the Household name and the time zone. The default time zone is Asia/Kolkata. Kosh uses it for every due date and for the FY boundary.

Invite a Member

Only the Owner can invite. The Owner types the email address of the second person. That person signs in with the same email address and joins the Household as a Member.

One person belongs to one Household in this version. If the invited person is already in a Household, Kosh rejects the invite.

A Member sees no invite action and no remove action.

Remove a Member

Only the Owner can remove a Member. The Owner cannot remove themselves.

• The removed person loses access at their next request.
• Their Holdings, Plan Items, Snapshots, and Occurrences stay in the Household. Kosh shows the name of the removed Member and marks the items "removed".
• The Owner can give those items to another Member.
